  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (no spoilers)

Two days after the release of the final installment of the Harry Potter series, most of the people I know who are HP fanatics, as well as myself, have already finished reading the said installment.  I finished reading mine in less than 20 hours (I would've finished a lot faster if I didn't eat and have bathroom breaks, or run some errands).  It's a bit funny and really amazing how people can actually finish a book that's 759 pages thick in 2 days or less.

Anyway, the book gave me mixed emotions -- both happy and sad.  Since this is the last book of the series, it means that there would be no more Harry Potter book to look forward to.  It's over. *sigh* I want to cry! lol. but I won't. That's just too much (I admit I did cry at one point while reading the book though).

JK Rowling is such an amazing writer.  You'll know if you actually read her series.  Even if you haven't read it, it's obvious that people of all ages have come to love Harry Potter, Hogwarts, Ron, Hermione, and the rest.  Kids being able to finish a really thick book in less than a day? That's saying something.  I just wish people would stop saying that it promotes witchcraft and sorcery and paganism -- it doesn't.  yes, it IS about magic, but there's more to it.  It takes you to  world of fantasy, where you can forget about your own problems for even just a short while.  It is a series about friendship, courage, and most of all, LOVE.

Two thumbs up to JK ROWLING! I'm going to reread the whole series over and over again. I'm sure others who love it will as well. :)
